QA Engineer at The Stape
Stape is a platform for global payouts to freelancers and remote teams around the world. It allows companies to send rewards conveniently and without bureaucracy, while specialists can receive them in any preferred currency and through their preferred payment system.
Tech stack: Backend - PHP / Laravel, Frontend - JavaScript / Vue3
Responsibilities:
Analyze requirements and specifications before development begins.
Develop and maintain up-to-date testing documentation (test plans, test cases, checklists).
Perform testing of web and mobile versions: functional, integration, regression, smoke, end-to-end.
Test APIs and analyze the correctness of service interactions.
Work with logs and requests to identify defect causes.
Describe and document defects, ensuring clear localization and reproducibility.
Collaborate with the development and DevOps teams on testing-related matters.
Participate in release acceptance.
Conduct exploratory testing to find unusual defects and improvements.
Requirements:
Understanding of testing processes and the software lifecycle.
At least 1 year of experience testing web applications.
Experience using DevTools.
Basic knowledge of JSON (ability to write and edit).
Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira or equivalents).
Experience with test management systems (TestRail, Qase.io, or equivalents).
Understanding of key web concepts: cookies, templates, controllers, analytics (GA4 / Amplitude).
Experience testing REST APIs (Postman).
Experience working with testing documentation (checklists, test cases, reports).
Understanding and practical application of test analysis and test design approaches.
Fluent in Russian.
Nice to have:
Basic knowledge of PHP / JavaScript.
Basic knowledge of HTML + CSS.
Basic knowledge of SQL (simple queries level).
General understanding of setting up a test environment (deploying an application locally via Docker).
Experience working with GitLab.
